NEET UG 2026:Â The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), also known as NEET (UG), is scheduled to be held on May 3. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the exam. Candidates taking the NEET (UG) this year must adhere to the NTA's prescribed dress code. The NTA has issued an official notification regarding the exam, detailing the exam center and various exam-related rules. Let's explore these rules.
What are the dress code rules?
1. According to the official notification, candidates will be searched with metal detectors before entering the examination centre.Â
2. Candidates have been asked to avoid wearing heavy clothes or long sleeves.
3. NTA has said in the notification that it would be better if the candidates wear low heel slippers and sandals.
4. Candidates should avoid wearing watches, wristbands, bracelets etc.
5. Avoid wearing heavy jewellery at the examination centre.
If a candidate is wearing cultural or traditional clothing, they must reach the exam centre at least one hour before the reporting time (i.e. 12:30 PM) to allow for thorough frisking.
6. Avoid bringing any text material, geometry or pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drive, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen, scanner, mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphone, wallet, goggles, handbag, belt, cap, food and such items inside the exam centre.
