after reaching the ovary, the pollen tube enters the ovule through the micropyle and subsequently enters one of the synergids via the filiform apparatus. It is within the cytoplasm of the synergid that the pollen tube liberates its two male gametes . From there, one gamete moves toward the egg cell for syngamy and the other toward the central cell for triple fusion .
